Trend Micro Icon Library

As a global enterprise leader in data security, Trend Micro hired McMillan to redesign their large icon library to fit their current brand and simplify them to be better understood.

Under the art direction of Michael Zavacky at McMillan, I was helped refine Trend Micro’s icon library by designing new icons and refining old ones. We worked together on distilling the concept of each icon, redesigning them to have minimum complexity, maintain legibility on small scale, and developed style guidelines for consistency. 

The library was made up of 11 categories, such as hardware, network, software, cloud, and user activities, consisting of very specific technical terms pertaining to the industry.
